About the Role
We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Austin. The role involves geotechnical analysis, foundation design, structural engineering support, field investigations, and construction observation for complex infrastructure, tunneling, trenchless, and heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, consulting experience, and the ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate geotechnical design parameters for infrastructure projects.
- Perform foundation design and geotechnical engineering analyses.
- Analyze and design steel, reinforced concrete, and wood structures.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and quantity estimates.
- Assist with CAD/BIM and Civil 3D-based engineering drawings.
- Conduct site visits and construction observations.
- Support client communications and project coordination.
- Work collaboratively with geotechnical, structural, tunneling, and trenchless engineering teams.
- Travel periodically to project sites and other company offices as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (Master's preferred).
- 5–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with geotechnical analysis, foundation design, and structural engineering.
- Willingness to perform field work and travel as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
