- Lead the development of strategic recommendations with explicit implications, risks, assumptions, value drivers, and execution considerations.
- Ensure strategy initiatives deliver against enterprise objectives, maintain focus on impact, and surface risks or dependencies early.
- Oversee senior workstreams and integrated project teams, ensuring outputs are aligned, high quality, and connected to a consistent strategic narrative.
- Anticipate executive and stakeholder needs, manage competing incentives, and drive alignment across functions and senior stakeholder groups.
- Lead executive-level materials, Board or ExCo-ready communications, workshops, and decision forums that support clear strategic choices.
- Coach managers and junior team members, provide direction and feedback, and contribute to capability building, methods, frameworks, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the framing of enterprise-level strategic priorities, problem statements, and hypotheses for complex, ambiguous business challenges.
- Develop strategic options, evaluate trade-offs, and shape evidence-based recommendations on growth, investment, operating model, customer, technology, and transformation priorities.
- Oversee multiple complex strategic initiatives and senior workstreams, ensuring quality, integration, alignment, and delivery against enterprise priorities.
- Advise senior executives through compelling, executive-ready narratives, decision forums, and strategic workshops that clarify implications, risks, assumptions, and choices.
- Lead stakeholder engagement strategies across business, finance, risk, operations, and technology, managing competing priorities and influencing alignment across senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of financial services, including customers, products and services, risk, regulation, and enterprise performance drivers.
- Significant experience in an in-house strategy function, top-tier consulting firm, strategy boutique, or equivalent executive advisory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives, challenge assumptions, and influence enterprise-level decisions involving material trade-offs or investment choices.
- Strong consulting toolkit: hypothesis-driven problem solving, strategic option development, market and competitor analysis, business case development, storylining, and executive facilitation.
- Experience leading senior project or workstream teams in complex environments, with accountability for quality, pace, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business impact.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, able to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior leadership and Board audiences.
- Ability to balance enterprise-level strategic thinking with pragmatic execution and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comply with Our Code, Purpose, Values, and relevant Policies.
