About the Role

During the program, you will gradually take on responsibility and actively participate in providing care for children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses, enhancing their quality of life while considering their individual wishes and needs. You will also gain valuable experience in various facilities through internships in our partner children's and youth hospices. You will exchange ideas with other trainees, participate in joint training and further education, and learn from shared experiences.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in providing care for children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses.
Promote quality of life considering individual wishes and needs of children and their families.
Undertake internships in partner children's and youth hospices to broaden perspectives and gain experience.
Exchange ideas with other trainees and participate in joint training and further education.

Requirements

A degree as a state-recognized specialist nurse, not older than 12 months.
Professional competence and empathy in the care and support of guests.
Strong social, communication, and reflection skills.
High level of empathy and sensitivity to the needs of severely and incurably ill children and their families.
Flexibility and willingness for independent work and shift work.
Dedicated work ethic, commitment, teamwork, and collegial interaction.
Willingness to engage with the challenges of palliative care and grow from them.
