About the Role

Cayenta is seeking an Application Consultant to support strategic IT transformation for utility clients. This role acts as a liaison between Operations, R&D, and clients, requiring product expertise and client process advisory for utility CIS implementations. The position is project-driven, supporting a variety of services for clients implementing and optimizing Cayenta CIS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage superior utility CIS technology solutions for clients.
• Provide implementation support to new clients by leading them through the process, ensuring completion, and resolving issues.
• Train users on system setup, administration, and maintenance.
• Perform business analysis, including gap analysis, root cause analysis, business process reviews, and requirements elicitation.
• Configure applications based on client utility business processes and best practices.
• Manage the user acceptance testing and change management process.
• Create user and handover documentation.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services to clients.
• Support Project Managers in managing engagement contracts, identifying bottlenecks, and providing project updates.
• Deliver implementation services efficiently to meet project milestones.
• Provide subject matter expertise to R&D and operational groups regarding market trends, client needs, and business practices.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to work at all levels of the client organization.
• Experience working with both business and IT groups, ideally in a utility CIS implementation or enterprise software environment.
• Curiosity and willingness to actively adopt emerging AI tools to improve workflows, solve problems, and drive efficiency.
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools such as Copilot, chat-based AI, and automation solutions.
• Must be able to travel an average of 50% of the time within North America.
• Must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally.
• Must possess passport-based visa exemption or required travel visas for entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
