About the Role
As Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the hotel. Reporting to the Area Hotel General Manager, you'll lead all departments while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional service. You'll balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach, ensuring the hotel consistently achieves financial, operational, guest experience, and people objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and compliance with brand and safety standards.
- Drive commercial performance by delivering revenue, profitability, and Net RevPAR targets through effective budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning.
- Inspire, coach, and develop leaders and teams, fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture focused on engagement, retention, and succession planning.
- Build strong relationships with owners, stakeholders, suppliers, and the local community, providing regular communication on business performance and opportunities.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, resolve operational issues and critical incidents, and identify opportunities to enhance productivity, guest satisfaction, and overall business results.
Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in hotel leadership roles, ideally as a Hotel Manager (100+ Keys)
- Proven track record leading full-service hotel operations through major refurbishment or reopening projects.
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and profitability
- Strong financial management, budgeting and forecasting experience
- Excellent people leadership and talent development skills
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and owner relationships
- Strong understanding of revenue management and market performance metrics
- Ability to lead confidently through change and complex situations
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Current RSA Certificate and Current Provide First Aid certification (or equivalent)
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available for this position).
