About the Role

This position leads Accenture's Corporate Communications function in Japan, responsible for planning and executing external public relations activities. Based on domestic and global business strategies, this role will manage media relations, message development, content creation, and exposure measurement and improvement. Collaborating with business units, global and domestic corporate communications teams, and PR agencies, this role contributes to strengthening Accenture's reputation and establishing leadership in the Japanese market.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with major domestic and industry media, handle interviews, and design story angles.
  • Create and review press releases, announcement materials, and Q&A documents.
  • Develop PR messages based on business strategy and priority areas in Japan.
  • Plan and propose angles and initiatives aligned with the direction of global and domestic Thought Leadership.
  • Strategically utilize global content, localize it for the Japanese market, and manage quality.
  • Support media interactions for management and leaders.
  • Plan and manage interviews, press briefings, and contributed articles.
  • Monitor, measure, analyze, and propose improvements for media exposure.
  • Manage and direct external partners such as PR agencies.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Approximately 5-8 years of experience in public relations or media relations.
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency (high writing and verbal communication skills).
  • Business-level English proficiency (ability to verbally explain the overview, progress, and issues of the assigned area, and understand and apply global meeting content). English interviews will be conducted.

Skills

  • Experience in technology, consulting, or B2B business environments.
  • Knowledge of the latest media trends, methods, and tools.
  • Experience in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on PR activity outcomes.
  • High ability to plan and execute PR content and events.
