About the Role

As a Senior Executive Researcher on the Executive & Board Recruitment team, you will act as a trusted advisor in finding and hiring leadership and board talent to build and deliver innovative products. We seek creative, analytical, and resourceful individuals passionate about research and relationship development, with the ability to understand candidate and hiring team goals. You will serve as a senior talent scout, utilizing various tools to uncover and match top market talent with aligned roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of Monzo’s executive sourcing framework, setting standards for research, mapping, and candidate engagement.
  • Partner with Executive Recruiters on live searches, co-owning the sourcing and research strategy, and ensuring smooth collaboration.
  • Design and embed a framework for recruiter-sourcer partnership.
  • Build succession pipelines for C-suite and board roles, prioritizing time for impact.
  • Create and maintain in-depth market maps of leadership talent in market and adjacent industries.
  • Act as a trusted research advisor to recruiters and senior stakeholders, providing deep market insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion by ensuring all pipelines and market maps reflect Monzo’s values and DE&I goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior leadership talent for immediate and future opportunities.
  • Contribute to projects that establish Monzo as a benchmark for executive and board hiring excellence.
  • Innovate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and processes, aiming for fundamental changes in executive search approach.

Requirements

  • Significant experience sourcing and researching at the executive or board level, either in-house or in a top-tier executive search firm.
  • Experience leading or building sourcing/research frameworks.
  • Involvement in succession planning or proactive pipeline building for senior leadership roles.
  • Track record of partnering effectively with executive recruiters.
  • Experience shaping recruiter-sourcer ways of working.
  • Comfort designing strategy and executing research.
  • Highly experienced in creating search strategies, mapping markets, and gleaning industry insights.
  • Credibility, discretion, and gravitas when partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • High level of personal accountability, integrity, and authenticity.
  • Deep care for diversity, inclusiveness, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Experience working in-house in a high-growth business and/or exposure to financial services or technology industries.
  • Passion for Fintech.
  • Learning agility to quickly get up to speed on new markets and run thorough, best-in-class search processes.
  • Ability to creatively develop diverse pipelines, promoting an inclusive work environment.
