About the Role
Clarion Events is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales Executive to join the team behind their market-leading Baby Show portfolio. This role involves generating revenue by selling exhibition space to baby brands and companies, contributing to the success of high-profile live events.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and contracting new business and managing incremental growth from existing business.
- Conducting tele-sales calls to existing and potential exhibitors to meet and exceed sales revenue targets.
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and the show team.
- Demonstrating strong personal sales behaviors on Salesforce.
- Vetting and sourcing appropriate new exhibitors that align with event brand values and target audience.
- Understanding and supporting the Sales Manager with floor plan management in conjunction with the Sales and Operations Team.
- Staying informed about market developments and identifying/researching new clients.
- Handling inquiries via phone and email, and producing/sending mailings and general office correspondence.
- Liaising with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams as required.
- Resolving exhibitor conflicts both in the office and on-site.
- Maintaining key customer care objectives.
- Completing all sales administration accurately and in a timely manner, including managing and reporting on sales pipelines.
- Providing support to the sales effort and other sales staff.
- Attending industry functions, including occasional weekends, and visiting relevant UK and international exhibitions.
- Visiting clients when necessary/appropriate with other team members.
- Liaising with the Finance department to assist in deposit collection.
- Representing Clarion Events professionally.
Requirements
- Solid and proven results/experience as a Sales Executive.
- Experience within consumer exhibitions is desirable.
- Clear understanding of events and the sales process for contracting exhibitors.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure with a consistently high level of output.
- Acknowledges the benefits of face-to-face customer engagement.
- Hardworking and conscientious approach to sales with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under positive direction and self-motivate.
