About the Role
The CRM Subscriptions Executive will lead the development and automation of personalized subscriber journeys using Braze. This role focuses on leveraging data-driven insights to enhance engagement with journalism, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize subscription revenue through multi-channel campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Map personalized customer journeys across multiple channels (email, website, app, etc.) through Braze to enhance reader engagement, habit formation, and long-term subscription retention.
- Own the CRM calendar, aligning with product launches, promotions, major news events, and subscription promotional periods.
- Utilize customer data to segment audiences effectively and identify opportunities based on content consumption, paywall interactions, and current subscription tiers.
- Tailor content messaging and subscription offers based on reader preferences, reading habits, and specific lifecycle stages.
- Implement x-channel CRM lifecycle campaigns, including building, proofing, testing, and sending automated flows to drive incremental subscription value.
- Conduct A/B tests to optimize personalization strategies, messaging, and content delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Commercial, Product, SEO, Tech & Data) to align initiatives with broader business goals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a media, digital publishing, or newspaper environment is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of a subscription-first (B2C) business model.
- Knowledge of Braze (or equivalent enterprise CRM system) including campaign programming, conditional logic, A/B optimization, data management, and subscriber-level insights.
- Strong grasp of core subscription metrics (e.g., Churn, LTV, CAC, Trial Conversion Rate).
- Knowledge of how to use data to inform lifecycle design and drive habit-forming user behavior.
- High organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret results and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes in complex environments.
- Results-driven marketer with proven quantitative and analytical skills.
