About the Role

As a Business Continuity Manager at BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH, you will take on central professional and coordinating tasks in building, systematically developing, and maintaining our Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Responsibilities

• Independently build a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) for BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH in coordination with the Head of Staff Department.
• Coordinate and manage the BCM lifecycle and support departments in its implementation.
• Continuously develop the organization-wide Business Continuity Management System and ensure its maintenance and currency.
• Design and conduct target group-specific training and awareness measures to anchor BCM in the company.
• Plan, organize, and accompany emergency drills and be responsible for their structured evaluation and follow-up.
• Analyze and document emergencies, disruptions, and incidents, and derive suitable improvement measures.
• Actively participate in relevant associations and expert committees and integrate current developments into the organization.
• Participate in internal and external audits and support the implementation of resulting measures.

Requirements

• Completed university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Risk or Security Management, or a comparable field.
• Relevant professional experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM/BCMS), ideally in the environment of Critical Infrastructures.
• Sound knowledge of central BCM methods and instruments, particularly Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Analysis (RA), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Sound knowledge of relevant norms, standards, and regulatory requirements in the BCM environment.
• Strong communication and moderation skills, as well as a confident demeanor with various stakeholders.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working combined with high implementation strength.
• Experience in committee work as well as in managing and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent German language skills at least at C1 level, both written and spoken.
• Approximately 70 percent of the requirements are sufficient for application.
