About the Role
Your goal is to inspire people to protect the endangered garden dormouse and support their commitment. You will develop digital and haptic participatory offers nationwide to motivate people to observe and protect garden dormice and report them as part of the Citizen Science project.
Responsibilities
- Develop digital and haptic participatory offers to motivate people to observe and protect garden dormice and report them.
- Act as the first point of contact for inquiries and manage the community on the digital reporting platform.
- Supervise a group of highly engaged volunteers who check reports.
- Compose mailings and newsletters for participants.
- Conceptualize materials (online & offline) and support with editing, design, and production.
- Collaborate with agencies and provide support in their management.
- Assist with the organization of online events.
Requirements
- Completed university degree or training in communication, environmental, social sciences, or fundraising.
- Initial professional experience in public relations, fundraising, or campaigning.
- Ideally, experience in working with and communicating with active members in an NGO.
- Willingness to deeply engage with the topic of nature conservation & garden dormice.
- Ideally, experience in community management or collaboration with service providers/agencies.
- Very good German language skills (C2) and the ability to present complex topics understandably.
