About the Role
The HHI - Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications is seeking a Student Assistant in Bioinformatics to support NGS data analysis, bioinformatics pipeline development, and data preparation for AI-driven interpretation within the CaniSense diagnostic workflow. This role is part of a project with the start-up testblu.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain bioinformatics scripts, tools, and analysis pipelines
- Support processing and quality control of sequencing data
- Build and optimize pipelines connecting NGS outputs to AI models
- Support cfDNA, CNV, fragmentomics, and other biomarker-related analyses
- Assist in data preparation, feature extraction, and documentation
- Improve workflow automation and reproducibility
- Document pipelines, analysis steps, and results
