About the Role

The Sustainability team, part of the CEO's office, is responsible for implementing and advancing the organization's sustainability strategy, which is integral to KENFO's investment strategy. This role involves integrating sustainability aspects into investment decisions, monitoring, and reporting, and contributing to the development of the sustainability approach across various asset classes.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate ESG expertise into investment processes, supporting ESG reviews for infrastructure, private equity, private debt, and real estate.
  • Contribute to the systematic integration of sustainability aspects into investment decisions, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Support the advancement of the sustainability approach across liquid and illiquid asset classes, including analyzing potential portfolio effects.
  • Create transparent analyses, templates, and reports for management, committees, and the public, concisely presenting complex ESG issues.
  • Participate in working groups of international sustainability organizations, representing KENFO's perspective.
  • Monitor national and international sustainability developments and derive necessary actions for KENFO.
  • Implement and, if necessary, further develop ESG processes.
  • Collaborate across departments on special topics and projects with Investment Management, Risk Management, Legal, and other interfaces.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree in economics or social sciences (Master's or Diploma), ideally with additional qualifications in finance, capital markets, and/or sustainability.
  • Experience with Sustainable Investing, ESG integration, or sustainability reporting, preferably from an asset owner, asset manager, or similar investment environment.
  • Proficiency with relevant ESG standards and frameworks, such as PRI, UN Global Compact, or comparable market standards.
  • Good understanding of capital markets and common asset classes, with an interest in connecting return, risk, and sustainability aspects.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured working methods, and the ability to clearly present complex issues.
  • German language skills (minimum B2 level) and fluent English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
