About the Role
UNICEF in the State of Palestine (SoP) seeks a reliable and detail-oriented cleaner to provide high-quality cleaning services for a newly built five-floor office building in Beit Hanina, East Jerusalem. The role involves deep cleaning and ongoing maintenance to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment, contributing to a healthy and professional atmosphere for staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Deep cleaning of all office facilities including kitchens, restrooms, corridors, stairs, entrance, terrace, windows, balconies and workstations
- Daily maintenance cleaning and hygiene
- Monthly deep cleaning tasks
- Floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping)
- Surface disinfection (desks, shelves, high-touch areas)
- Trash removal and sanitization
- Cleaning and disinfection of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Refill paper, soap and other dispensers; Re-fill supplies where needed
- Deep carpet cleaning and tile scrubbing
- Window washing (interior and exterior)
- Wall, ceiling, and fixture cleaning
- High-dust area cleaning
- Sanitization of staircases and handrails
- Assist in organizing hospitality events
- Clean and prepare the meeting/conference room before and after visitors arrive
- Wash kitchenware and tidy dining areas after meals and events
- Maintain kitchen stock levels
- Support staff with special meeting requests, including room setup, hospitality needs, etc.
- Move and carry boxes or small quantities of office supplies as needed
Requirements
- Completion of secondary education is required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in cleaning, preferably working with international organizations
- Ability to work independently and have a knowledge in cleaning and detergent materials
- Proven work experience as in an international organization or embassy is an asset
- Handy and able to provide maintenance is an asset
- Fluency in Arabic and working knowledge in the English Language
- Working knowledge in Hebrew Language would be an asset
