About the Role

This role is responsible for operating equipment across the bakery, managing product changeovers, controlling quality and safety, and promoting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Operating of equipment across the site, which involves changeovers, setting up and shutting down of the line
  • Operating of high-speed, automated equipment
  • Supporting the reliability team with PM and breakdown work
  • Attending to breakdowns across the line as required
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality by supporting the site quality management systems and maintaining a safety culture focused on risk reduction/management, injury prevention and continual improvement
  • Contribute to the optimisation of the plant, both in operation and planning to meet customers’ requirements in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Support and coach others to execute CI and drive manufacturing efficiencies

Requirements

  • Mechanical or fitting trade qualification desirable
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (food production desirable)
  • Strong safety mindset with a strong understanding on WHS and risk assessments
  • Exposure to driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of best practice GMP & SOP's
  • Self-motivated individual with a can do attitude who is not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Good communication skills and be able to work as a part of a small team
