About the Role
This role is responsible for operating equipment across the bakery, managing product changeovers, controlling quality and safety, and promoting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Operating of equipment across the site, which involves changeovers, setting up and shutting down of the line
- Operating of high-speed, automated equipment
- Supporting the reliability team with PM and breakdown work
- Attending to breakdowns across the line as required
- Monitoring and controlling the quality by supporting the site quality management systems and maintaining a safety culture focused on risk reduction/management, injury prevention and continual improvement
- Contribute to the optimisation of the plant, both in operation and planning to meet customers’ requirements in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Support and coach others to execute CI and drive manufacturing efficiencies
Requirements
- Mechanical or fitting trade qualification desirable
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (food production desirable)
- Strong safety mindset with a strong understanding on WHS and risk assessments
- Exposure to driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Understanding of best practice GMP & SOP's
- Self-motivated individual with a can do attitude who is not afraid to challenge the status quo
- Good communication skills and be able to work as a part of a small team
