About the Role
The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is seeking a Project Officer to manage and coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of projects within the Financial Services Program Management, Infrastructure and Assets Command. This role is crucial for achieving project outcomes and supporting organizational objectives. We are looking for technically skilled automotive professionals to design, build, and manage specialized vehicles, including pursuit vehicles, rescue trucks, and highway patrol units.
Responsibilities
- Capturing and documenting functional requirements for vehicles and related assets
- Developing specifications, design concepts, and managing procurement for specialised vehicles
- Working with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on design, quality, and delivery
- Validating delivered products against specifications and project requirements
Requirements
- Strong automotive background with deep technical knowledge
- Excellent organisational and administrative capability
- Ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical audiences
- Experience communicating with suppliers or manufacturers at a technical level
- Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen
- Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check
- Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force
