About the Role

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an experienced Engineered Wood Products Designer to join their Western Specification Team within the Marketing and Sales organization. This role utilizes proprietary software to assist strategic partners in designing, optimizing, and specifying engineered lumber and structural frame products. The primary focus is on design and drafting, with secondary emphasis on service coordination and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

Use design tools and software applications to provide technical services supporting the design and specification of Weyerhaeuser Structural Frame products.
Produce comprehensive framing layouts for floor, roof, and wall systems.
Provide design calculations for single structural members.
Offer design consultation to dealers, builders, general contractors, building inspectors, architects, engineers, sales associates, and owners to solve framing challenges.

Requirements

2-year technical degree OR equivalent construction industry experience.
Ability to read and comprehend Residential Wood Frame construction documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to reside in one of our operating locations.
