About the Role
The Sort Technician is responsible for capturing the details of every IT asset DMD receives. This role determines the next phase of the process based on the item, condition, and customer needs, requiring the ability to consult decision matrices and interpret incomplete information to maximize the value of each asset.
Responsibilities
- Capture associated IT asset data and enter into our system
- Determine the next phase of the process for each item
- Organize equipment based on type, value, or other criteria as necessary
- Separate items based on resale or recycle
- Provide recommendations and actions to improve the department and outcomes
- Participate in offsite projects as appropriate
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer basics including data entry
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented with consistency
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods, squat, twist, bend, and lift between 10-50 lbs. regularly
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screens and background checks
