About the Role

The Portfolio Governance Manager will lead the implementation and ongoing management of governance frameworks across key insurer and strategic partner relationships. This role strengthens operational and regulatory governance, ensuring partner obligations, controls, and compliance requirements are documented, monitored, and embedded into daily operations. It also drives continuous improvement across partnership processes, controls, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the uplift, implementation, and ongoing management of governance frameworks across key insurer and strategic partner relationships, and new product categories.
  • Strengthen operational and regulatory governance across different product categories.
  • Ensure partner obligations, controls, and compliance requirements are effectively documented, monitored, and embedded into day-to-day operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across partnership processes, controls, and systems.
  • Review and uplift partner obligations.
  • Oversee delegated responsibilities.
  • Improve broader team documentation and record-keeping practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in governance, risk, compliance, regulatory affairs, operations, or partner management within financial services, insurance, or a regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, governance frameworks, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in managing partner/vendor contractual obligations.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and regulatory environments in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and manage a program of work.
  • Experience with performance reporting and data analysis, using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong project management and process improvement capability.
