About the Role

The Staff Accountant will manage and administer the full accounting cycle, ensuring adherence to sound accounting principles and practices under the direction of the Director of Finance. This role supports daily accounting operations and duties across various functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in multiple areas of accounting as needed related to day-to-day operations.
  • Perform Accounts Receivable functions including billing, collections, payments, deposits, and group billings.
  • Conduct Income Audit functions, including reviewing daily reports, reconciling payments, balancing taxes, and reviewing F&B charges.
  • Execute Accounts Payable functions, such as reviewing statements, processing purchase orders and invoices.
  • Assist with other A/P and General Cashier tasks like monthly bank counts, petty cash processing, and invoice entry.
  • Undertake any other accounting-related tasks to support daily office operations.
  • Engage in cross-training and provide coverage for other accounting staff when necessary.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of related progressive experience in a related field.
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Opera, Profit Sage, and Birchstreet is preferred.

Experience Level

  • 2+ years of related progressive experience

Salary/Compensations

  • $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
