About the Role

The Vice President, Health Research APAC Sales is responsible for developing and executing the regional sales strategy across Asia Pacific to achieve revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. This leader will build and lead high-performing sales teams, drive strategic partnerships, and ensure alignment with global business objectives while adapting to local market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the APAC sales strategy to achieve annual and long-term revenue targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and growth initiatives across the region.
  • Drive pipeline generation, forecast accuracy, and sales execution excellence.
  • Collaborate with global leadership to align regional priorities with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Manager of managers responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a geographically distributed sales organization across APAC.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop top sales talent and future leaders.
  • Establish performance metrics, incentive programs, and accountability frameworks.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic negotiations for major enterprise accounts and partnerships.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
  • Own regional sales forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with and provide insights to influence product development and marketing strategies.
  • Provide regular business updates, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive sales & commercial leadership experience in healthcare and publishing market preferred.
  • Proven track record of selling information and workflow tools to Institutional Libraries, Health Systems, Medical Schools, Hospitals, and Government Institution and driving growth / exceeding revenue targets across APAC markets.
  • Demonstrated experience with value-based selling methodologies and driving adoption of sales capabilities through coaching, enablement programs, and development of high-performing sales teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales processes in a matrixed organization and communicate the value of sophisticated products and technologies.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in one or more additional APAC languages strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the APAC region up to 50%.
  • Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
