About the Role
As a Sales Specialist, you will drive the growth of Philips' monitoring business in the Japanese patient monitoring market, providing high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, from developing sales strategies to customer proposals and product demonstrations. This role supports sales activities from clinical and technical perspectives, focusing on patient monitoring products like vital signs monitors and central monitoring systems. You will collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer challenges and needs, propose optimal solutions, and contribute to business growth through product demonstrations, presentations, quote support, and sales strategy development and execution. You will also expand the market and strengthen sales capabilities for the patient monitoring business through market and competitor analysis, and by leveraging customer information, aiming to maximize customer value in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for vital signs monitoring products.
- Collaborate with sales representatives on customer proposals and project advancement.
- Conduct product demonstrations for hospitals and medical institutions.
- Create customer presentations and proposals.
- Support sales by highlighting the clinical and technical value of products.
- Provide support for bid proposals and quote creation.
- Support the planning and operation of academic conferences and exhibitions, and promote products.
- Manage and analyze customer information and sales activity data using CRM.
- Contribute to achieving business plans through monthly sales forecasts and project progress management.
- Provide input to marketing on sales tools and pricing strategies through collaboration with the marketing department.
- Collect market trends and competitor information, and provide feedback to sales and marketing.
- Identify new business opportunities through customer segment analysis and market analysis.
- Promote sales productivity improvements through continuous operational improvement activities.
Requirements
- Experience in corporate sales, sales planning, marketing, or business planning within the medical device industry.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitors and patient monitoring equipment.
- Customer negotiation experience and strong communication skills.
- Presentation skills and consultative selling skills.
- Problem-solving skills utilizing data analysis and market analysis.
- Stakeholder management skills to collaborate with internal and external parties.
- Execution ability to drive tasks independently.
- Experience in proposing and implementing medical devices for hospitals (preferred).
- CRM utilization experience (preferred).
- Market analysis and competitor analysis experience (preferred).
- Lean or operational improvement activity experience (preferred).
- English proficiency: reading and writing level (preferred for communication with overseas teams and document comprehension).
- Japanese proficiency: Native or business-level proficiency.
- University degree or higher.
