About the Role

Shape the future Defence workforce by connecting exceptional talent with meaningful careers. Lead proactive sourcing for specialist and niche Defence and Maritime roles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across specialist Defence, Maritime and technical positions
  • Proactively source and engage passive candidates using sourcing tools, market mapping and targeted search strategies
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for niche and specialist roles
  • Develop sourcing strategies and recruitment campaigns
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, providing recruitment advice and market insights
  • Create engaging job advertisements and deliver an exceptional candidate experience from attraction through to onboarding
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Defence Talent Acquisition team

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience proactively sourcing passive candidates for niche specialist positions
  • Experience recruiting within Defence or Maritime industry will be highly regarded
  • Proven success using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing techniques to identify and engage talent
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment within an internal Talent Acquisition or agency environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
  • Must pass a comprehensive probity assessment, including a National Police Check
