Responsibilities
- Build mission-critical backend services to support iCloud Photos on iOS, VisionOS, and macOS platforms.
- Define and build the next generation of features for iCloud Photos.
- Collaborate with many engineering teams across Apple.
- Design data models and storage systems.
- Manage data flows.
- Develop APIs.
- Select caching strategies.
- Build, deploy, and optimize robust, scalable, and maintainable services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in crafting, developing, and maintaining high-performance distributed systems and services using Java.
- Experience in NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
- Multi-thread programming experience.
- Curiosity for independently learning new technologies.
- Proficiency in planning and executing projects.
- Deep experience in building, deploying, and optimizing robust, scalable, and maintainable services.
