About the Role

The Engineering PCB Services Organization supports board designs for Electrical Engineering teams. This role involves collaborating with design teams to develop complex, detailed layouts for rigid and flexible printed circuit boards using CAE and CAD tools, while managing schedules, costs, packaging, and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Study and implement PCB design trends and processes relevant to core technologies.
• Conduct design feasibility studies for packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance.
• Assist and train PCB designers in resolving critical design problems and specialized areas.
• Develop an understanding of design standards for manufacturing and test.
• Perform complex CAD and CAE tasks under mentorship.
• Maintain technical coordination with engineering, product design, test, EMC, and manufacturing teams.
• Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors.
• Participate in the evolution and definition of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines.
• Collaborate on design specifications to balance trade-offs for quality, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in designing flex and/or rigid boards.
• Experience with software tools such as Allegro, Altium, or Mentor Graphics.
• Understanding of board design constraints.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
