About the Role
We are seeking a registered Vet Nurse who is passionate about animal welfare, loves dogs, and is looking for an excellent work-life balance to join our rehoming centre's Veterinary Team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Dogs Trust rehoming centre team to provide excellent veterinary care and welfare to dogs.
- Be involved with routine veterinary care, maintaining clinical protocols.
- Assist with the transfer of dogs to/from the local veterinary surgery.
- Provide post-surgery care.
- Act as a point of contact for veterinary assistance for the centre team.
- Help ensure protocols are adhered to by providing informal, occasional training to staff.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Appreciation of handling dogs in accordance with Dogs Trust guidelines, using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Ability to show empathy and understanding towards both dogs and people.
- Commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care and customer service.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
