About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Principal RAMS Engineer to lead and deliver reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) activities across major transport infrastructure projects. You will develop assurance strategies, manage hazard identification and risk assessment, and support the delivery of safety cases, ensuring systems are safe, reliable, and ready for operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead RAMS and safety assurance activities across project lifecycles
- Develop RAM plans, hazard logs and safety cases
- Perform and review FMECA, FTA and reliability analyses
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. EN 50126/8/9)
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to manage assurance requirements
- Mentor and support junior engineers
Requirements
- 8-10 years’ experience in RAMS, systems assurance or safety assurance
- Experience in rail or other safety-critical industries
- Strong understanding of relevant standards and assurance frameworks
- Proven ability to deliver technical work independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
