About the Role

Fox Williams offers a unique opportunity to advance your career in a personable, progressive and entrepreneurial environment. The DR (Dispute Resolution) department has seven partners, fourteen associates and one paralegal working across international arbitration, civil fraud, securities litigation and general commercial litigation. This is a 5-month FTC role where you will be encouraged to take on a high level of responsibility and become involved in a broad spectrum of work across all areas of the department, with an emphasis on securities litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking research into the establishment and structure of potential clients/claimants to identify the correct entity to participate in group action proceedings.
  • For securities litigation cases, this will involve a review of constitutional documents, relevant statutes and contractual documentation (including from international jurisdictions).
  • Undertaking project and file management procedures.
  • Reviewing new cases/judgments relating to securities litigations claims in England and Wales in order to inform analysis of claimant documentation.
  • Drafting correspondence to clients requesting further information to assist with the identification of the correct entity to participate in proceedings.
  • Reviewing and collating trading data and other documentation to be provided to any third parties instructed in proceedings (e.g. barristers and experts).
  • Preparing updates on client onboarding and incurred fees for internal and external purposes.
  • Managing regular and ad hoc client updates.
  • Coordinating the gathering of evidence; assisting with disclosure and witness statements; and trial preparation.

Requirements

  • Ideally, have good foundational disputes experience including some exposure to arbitration matters.
  • Time management and communication skills are essential.
  • The candidate will also be highly motivated to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
