About the Role

Volunteers can make a big difference to Hospice patients and caregivers. Hospice is a comprehensive healthcare program designed to help people who have a terminal illness and life expectancy of up to 6 months. Volunteers offer companionship, light housekeeping, and a break for caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Sit and talk with patients
• Read to patients
• Play music for patients
• Handle light housekeeping, home repairs, or lawn care
• Make memory books
• Complete office work

Requirements

• 6-month commitment with at least 1-2 hours per week
• Complete Hospice volunteer training program (online, approximately 12 hours)
• Willing to undergo a background check and TB test
