About the Role
As a Data Scientist for the Energy Transition at con|energy consult gmbh, you will analyze and model individual solutions for municipal heat and infrastructure planning, support the development of our cloud-based software solution Simergy, and take responsibility for simulation models. You will efficiently utilize large amounts of data, create innovative ETL processes, and document and present your findings clearly.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and model individual solutions for municipal heat and infrastructure planning.
- Support the conception and programming of our cloud-based software solution Simergy.
- Develop our simulation models further and take responsibility for their success.
- Analyze, process, and visualize data to precisely answer current questions.
- Develop innovative ETL processes and optimize data processing.
- Document and present your results clearly and comprehensibly.
- Communicate internally and externally and work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and customers.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Energy Economics, or Energy Technology.
- Previous work experience in the energy industry.
- Strong affinity for numbers and algorithms, demonstrated by analytical and conceptual thinking.
- Experience and enjoyment in modeling complex technical-economic relationships.
- Proficiency in at least one common programming language, such as Python or SQL.
- Initial experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL) and cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Docker).
- Experience with geospatial data and tools like QGIS is a plus.
- Proficiency with common Office solutions.
- Willingness to help and support others, with a collaborative team spirit.
- Enthusiasm and commitment in tackling tasks.
- Very good written and spoken German language skills.
- Good written and spoken English language skills.
- Willingness for regular business travel.
