About the Role

As a Carer at RSL LifeCare, you will be empowered to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives within a supportive work environment. You will provide personal care, ensure timely and effective care aligned with resident needs and care plans, encourage resident wellbeing and independence, embody a person-centred approach, participate in risk management and quality improvement, and build strong relationships with your team.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with residents and their families to provide personal care
• Provide quality, timely and effective care that reflects the unique needs of each resident and in accordance with resident care plans
• Encourage the wellbeing and independence of residents by supporting them to engage in preferred activities and interests
• Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual’s unique goals and preferences
• Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement activities
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver positive outcomes for residents

Requirements

• Demonstrated compassion, empathy and advocacy
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work efficiently by optimising the use of technology
• Teamwork skills
• Qualifications in individual support or related work experience are beneficial
• Australian Working Rights
• A valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check

• $32.60 - $36.56 + 12% Super + Not-for-profit tax benefits - salary packaging of up to $15,900 per year
