About the Role
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage assigned territory and accounts, and build strong customer relationships to maximize sales performance while prioritizing the patient and adhering to AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns effectively to gain clear calls to action and close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, and clinical/sales expertise.
- Share market intelligence with in-field teams, brand teams, and sales managers to ensure alignment and optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

- Must meet healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
- Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas (preferred).
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing (preferred).
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing for all non-English speaking countries (preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, including overnight attendance at training events and sales meetings.
- Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations.
- Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials.
- HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific licenses.
