About the Role

New York Public Radio is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Sponsorship team in managing advertising campaigns across radio, podcasts, streaming, and digital platforms. This role provides hands-on experience in media business operations, focusing on campaign execution, client service, and sales support.

Responsibilities

  • Support revenue-generating activities across the sponsorship sales cycle
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Manage tasks, track deliverables, and oversee timelines for multiple campaigns
  • Identify and escalate issues or process bottlenecks
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, and internal teams
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and departmental projects
  • Assist with proposal preparation, RFP responses, sales materials, audience data, and reporting
  • Conduct inventory availability checks
  • Support media plan preparation and sponsorship recommendations

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of professional office, administrative, client service, or coordination experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to evolving workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Resourceful, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Interest in media, advertising, podcasts, radio, or digital platforms
