About the Role
PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II to join our team in a hybrid work environment in our San Francisco office. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems, while sharpening your skills in technical specifications and interdisciplinary coordination. You will play a key role in moving projects from initial design through site implementation, ensuring all deliverables meet our rigorous quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering
- Design electrical distribution, lighting and power systems under the direction of a lead engineer
- Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
- Understand and able to read plans and specifications, develop skills to edit/write specifications
- Develop the ability to understand other disciplines
- Application of building codes and electrical industry standards
- Prepare electrical load calculations and electrical equipment selection
- Interact with clients and other project team members
- Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs
- Contribute to site visits and prepare reports
- Thorough understanding of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
- Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
- Requires a minimum 1-2 years of Electrical E-1 or equivalent experience
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate to others
- Knowledge of project phases
