About the Role

The Bell Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. This role involves assisting hotel guests with luggage during arrival and departure, maintaining a professional demeanor, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting hotel guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up during arrival and departure.
  • Maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
  • Acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Using guest last names during interactions.
  • Using the salutation of the day and welcoming guests to the location.
  • Practicing proper phone etiquette.
  • Posting up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
  • Conducting thorough room presentations for guests.
  • Assisting guests with room changes when needed.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the hotel's rooms, meeting facilities, and public areas.
  • Opening all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and all other inquiries.
  • Providing information to guests about the hotel, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Assisting guests with transportation to off-site locations using only approved services.
  • Correctly tagging individual bags for storage.
  • Assuring all guests and luggage are safely transported to and from assigned destinations.
  • Continually monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the guest services area.
  • Delivering messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested.
  • Completing all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Account Manager.

Requirements

  • Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Must be able to read and write standard English language.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Must be able to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
