About the Role

We are a provider of after-school volleyball classes for Grades K–3 across elementary schools throughout the Bay Area. We are seeking dedicated coaches and assistant coaches to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching volleyball to elementary school children, managing classes, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a class size of 8 - 16 students with ages 5-10 years old.
• Teach the volleyball class using provided lesson plans.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
• Transport sports equipment to and from class and set up the necessary equipment.
• Take attendance, sign in, and sign out students for each class.
• Interact with parents and school office staff as necessary.
• Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.
• Capture a few pictures each session of kids in action.

Requirements

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in volleyball is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient, positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Must have own car and valid driver's license to use at work.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test before working.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Must be local to the US or already have a necessary working VISA as the employer does not provide any Visa assistance to applicants.
