About the Role
Lyft is looking for a Business Strategy Manager to accelerate the growth of Lyft Business in new and existing markets, and shape our role in partnering with organizations to deliver tailored transportation solutions. This role is both analytical and strategic, requiring a forward-thinking mindset to tackle complex business problems. You will work collaboratively across the Lyft Business organization, as well as with cross-functional teams, making it crucial to build consensus and support to achieve segment-level goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify new use cases and market segments to define the next generation of B2B transportation solutions, positioning Lyft Business for long-term, durable growth
- Develop comprehensive business cases, including market sizing, competitive analysis, financial forecasting, and risk assessments
- Monitor key industry trends and competitive landscape to ensure Lyft Business remains at the forefront of the market
- Source and develop B2B partnerships end-to-end - from opportunity assessment and commercial model through cross-functional launch - to open new growth channels for Lyft Business
- Analyze key business metrics and performance indicators using both quantitative and qualitative data to guide strategic decision-making
- Partner with product, marketing, and analytics to drive alignment on critical strategic decisions and turn them into launched, measurable initiatives
- Create executive-level deliverables to inform leadership teams across Lyft Inc.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Business or relevant field; MBA a plus
- 5+ years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering strategic business growth
- Proven experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for B2B products or services, ideally in the transportation or technology industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Excellent project management skills and strong attention to detail with the capability to work on multiple work streams/priorities simultaneously
- Comfort operating in ambiguity - takes a loosely scoped problem, structures it, and drives to a recommendation
- Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex insights to various audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Partnership or business development experience a plus
- Familiarity with high growth or tech company operations a plus
