About the Role
Lead a team of Disability Support Workers delivering high-quality, person-centred supports to people living with disability. This role combines leadership, coaching, operational oversight, and relationship management to help individuals achieve their goals and live meaningful lives. You will play a vital role in ensuring services are safe, responsive, and focused on positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership across a portfolio of disability services.
- Support participants and the team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Oversee service delivery in collaboration with the Operations Manager and internal support teams.
- Build staff capability and ensure services align with NDIS Practice Standards and organizational policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Disability Support Workers.
- Coach staff in person-centred practice, Active Support, and behaviour support strategies.
- Manage performance, recruitment, onboarding, and employee development.
- Collaborate with rostering to ensure adequate staffing.
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, allied health professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor documentation, medication compliance, client plans, and service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive team culture.
- Develop and implement innovative programs to enhance participant outcomes, promote independence, and meet individual goals.
Requirements
- Experienced people leader who enjoys developing teams, solving problems, and delivering exceptional outcomes for participants.
- Leadership experience within Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, or Human Services.
- Experience leading teams supporting people with complex behaviours and high support needs.
- Strong understanding of person-centred practice and NDIS service delivery.
- Confidence in managing employee performance, coaching, and staff development.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proactive approach with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Certificate III or above in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in the disability or community services sector.
- Current unrestricted Driver Licence.
- National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
