About the Role

This position assesses a child's functional abilities across developmental domains to determine eligibility and enrollment. It involves referrals, pre-enrollments, comprehensive assessments, and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). The role provides case management and specialized skills training, participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive services in natural environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist families and eligible children in accessing rights and services under IDEA Part C.
  • Complete developmental screenings and make appropriate referrals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using the Battelle Developmental Inventory-2 NU and Help Strands.
  • Develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) within 45 days of referral.
  • Identify transition services for children exiting ECI services.
  • Monitor service delivery and effectiveness through monthly contacts.
  • Coordinate Annual Comprehensive Assessments for enrolled children.
  • Coordinate discipline evaluations (speech, occupational, physical, behavior) as needed.
  • Facilitate Annual and Complete IFSP Reviews.
  • Provide direct services to promote child skill acquisition.
  • Deliver first direct service for new enrollees within 28 days.
  • Complete and submit written reports and paperwork within 48 hours.
  • Meet agency and program deadlines.
  • Attend agency and program meetings and activities.
  • Undertake other assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel within the assigned region.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance if driving own vehicle.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to work more than 8 hours per day.
  • Adaptable, able to work well under pressure, and handle crisis situations.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and kneel as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.

Skills

  • English and Spanish language skills (preferred)
  • Experience working with children and families of diverse cultures
  • Knowledge of child physical and psychological development

  • Bachelor's degree in adaptive physical education, child development, child life, communication disorders, early childhood, family studies, health, human development, psychology, rehabilitative counseling/ rehabilitation services, social work, sociology, special education, or any other degree which includes at least 18 hours of college credit directly related to early childhood intervention.

Salary/Compensations

  • $48,271.00 - $53,000.00 Salary/year
