About the Role
As a Yard Team Member at SRM Concrete, you will help keep our concrete plant clean, safe, and organized, supporting plant operations through hands-on work and contributing to community building.
Responsibilities
- Keep the yard and plant areas clean and organized by sweeping, shoveling, and performing general clean-up tasks.
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Support plant operations by providing manual labor wherever needed.
- Help with routine maintenance tasks like pressure washing, organizing supplies, and general upkeep.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, and notify supervisors when stock is low.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Complete other duties as assigned to ensure efficient plant operation.
Requirements
- Possess a strong work ethic and enjoy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Be a team player with good communication skills.
- Have basic understanding of construction materials and tools, or be eager to learn.
- Possess reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and company protocols.
- Ready to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
