About the Role

This position is in Cargill's Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with innovative ingredients and branded products. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance, food safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, operate, and monitor packaging equipment for optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Accurately verify, document, and record production quantities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management during shift handovers and operations.
  • Ensure all packaged products meet food safety requirements and customer quality specifications.
  • Perform routine, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.
  • Understand, follow, and comply with all safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Safely climb on trucks and railcars as required to support operational activities.
  • Operate track mobile equipment to move railcars in accordance with safety and operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and business needs.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Basic use of a computer.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of forklift operation experience required.
