About the Role
This is a market-facing underwriting role focused on complex Financial Institutions within the Retail Management Liability platform. The role involves managing a portfolio of new and renewal business, originating opportunities through broker relationships, and navigating complex risk exposures for public and private entities.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers to drive new business production
- Execute a disciplined broker engagement strategy including in-person meetings and market travel
- Stay current on trends and emerging risks within the FI public company and Management Liability landscape
- Manage a portfolio of new and renewal business to ensure profitability and alignment with guidelines
- Retain existing accounts while selectively pursuing new business opportunities
- Support cross-selling of Management Liability and broader Financial Lines products
- Analyze, evaluate, and underwrite complex Financial Institutions Management Liability risks
- Structure terms, conditions, limits, and pricing within delegated underwriting authority
- Maintain adherence to underwriting guidelines, best practices, and service standards
- Meet divisional service standards for quote turnaround, policy issuance, and documentation
- Maintain accurate underwriting files and ensure compliance with internal processes
Requirements
- Strong broker relationships within the U.S. retail market
- 7+ years of experience underwriting Management Liability Complex Risk (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, or related Financial Lines)
- Proven track record of managing and growing a profitable underwriting portfolio
- Bachelor’s degree
