About the Role

The Asset Protection Specialist will be based at Flagship locations and provide support to surrounding sanctuaries within their market. This role will support, lead, and maximize all aspects of the Asset Protection function in partnership with the Regional Asset Protection Manager, utilizing proven methodologies, technological advances, and data analysis to execute a customized Asset Protection program aligned with ALO's vision and brand expansion.

Responsibilities

Use data and strategy to achieve the company shrinkage goal in assigned store(s).
Partner with the store team to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
Conduct investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, operational, and other loss-related activities.
Utilize CCTV and surveillance tools to monitor store activities and identify suspicious behaviors.
Analyze surveillance footage and gather evidence to support investigations.
Monitor inventory levels by analyzing RFID data for top loss items.
Identify, escalate, and support internal dishonesty investigations.
Conduct regular store walks to ensure compliance with safety and physical security policies.
Collaborate with management to implement and enforce loss prevention policies.
Collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams during investigations.
Network with peers in the AP/LP Field for partnership on investigations, best practices, and trends.
Prepare detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for improvements.
Conduct asset protection assessments and develop action plans.
Partner with Regional Asset Protection Manager to identify shrink, security, safety, and cash management opportunities.
Educate staff on loss prevention practices and the importance of asset protection.
Assist in training new employees on asset protection and safety.
Serve as a resource for staff regarding asset protection policies and procedures.
Participate in ongoing training and development.

Requirements

Proven experience in loss prevention, security, or investigations, preferably in a retail environment.
Ability to travel to sanctuaries within market as required.
Flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Proficiency in using surveillance systems and investigative tools.
Proficient computer skills including asset protection applications, MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint), and store systems such as RFID, and Shopify.
Comfortable working independently, able to multi-task, be flexible with and embrace change prioritizing business needs.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to asset protection.
Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
May involve some physical activity, including lifting and moving merchandise.
Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store.
May occasionally involve reaching above eye level, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Ability to lift/move up to 30lbs.
