About the Role

Talkspace is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core applications and services. This role is for a hands-on full-stack engineer looking to build 0 to 1, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and shape technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Writes correct and consistent code using backend, frontend, and devops knowledge.
• Develops and maintains full-stack web applications using React and Node.js.
• Designs, builds, and integrates APIs and backend services.
• Reviews code efficiently and provides feedback.
• Understands industry standards and stays informed of upcoming trends.
• Communicates and justifies technical decisions via design docs, tech talks, and documentation.
• Mentors Junior Engineers through pairing, feedback, PR review, and 1:1s.
• Communicates effectively cross-functionally with Product, management, and business stakeholders.
• Proactively identifies and communicates problems with requirements and projects.
• Delivers complex, fully developed, and bug-free products to QA.
• Takes initiative to fix bugs, open tickets, and improve code.
• Persistently addresses roadblocks and collaborates with others to solve problems.
• Takes end-to-end responsibility for production-ready features.
• Identifies problems and potential risks in code.
• Helps maintain code base consistency and quality through PR review and feedback.
• Enforces proper QA for all involved products.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing software.
• 5+ years of professional experience working in both React and Node.js.
