About the Role

We're looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer who is an outstanding engineer and a charismatic customer partner. This is an account-ownership, customer-facing engineering role where you own your accounts end to end, acting as the single point of contact to build relationships, diagnose problems, ship solutions, and expand the account. You will apply creativity and problem-solving to help customers implement complex business automations using our internal libraries, tools, and products. You'll act as a trusted expert and a human-in-the-loop partner to our agentic automation engine. This role is inherently cross-functional, bridging product, engineering, and customer teams, and requires comfort with sales conversations and identifying upsell opportunities.

Responsibilities

Build upon autonomous agent solutions to tailor automation solutions to specific, customer-centric workflows.
Configure, prompt, and orchestrate AI agents on Automat Studio to navigate complex enterprise software platforms.
Manage and support AI agents powering Workforce deployments for customers, ensuring reliability and evolution.
Align automation strategies with customer needs, driving long-term innovation and resilience.
Prototype new techniques and optimize pipelines for intelligent document extractions.
Act as a trusted expert and human-in-the-loop partner to the agentic automation engine.
Bridge discussions between product, engineering, and customer teams.
Identify upsell opportunities and contribute to expanding AI-powered product offerings.

Requirements

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated success in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., sales engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering).
Comfortable orchestrating and configuring AI agents on a modern agent platform.
Experience directing, prompting, and tuning agents.
Ample experience using AI tools effectively (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable).
Top-notch communication and collaboration skills, particularly bridging discussions between technical and non-technical teams.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.
Proactive mindset and high initiative, with a bias toward action.
Intrinsic desire to leave things better than you found them.
Ability to work across the stack and be multi-disciplinary.
Experience as an IC in startups or other dynamic, high-growth settings.
