About the Role

We are seeking a client-focused Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility capital programs while supporting business growth and client relationship development. The role combines project/program management, stakeholder engagement, and business development to support distribution utility initiatives including grid modernization, asset renewal, reliability improvement, customer growth, and infrastructure expansion programs.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of utility capital projects and programs.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and quality.
Coordinate across engineering, operations, construction teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Establish project governance, reporting structures, and performance tracking mechanisms.
Support capital planning, forecasting, Construction Work in Progress (CWIP), and project prioritization activities.
Implement PMO best practices, project controls, and governance frameworks.
Develop executive dashboards, status reports, KPI scorecards, and presentations.
Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) logs, change requests, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
Support portfolio management, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build trusted relationships with utility executives, engineering leaders, and operational stakeholders.
Facilitate executive reviews, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder workshops.
Identify new opportunities within existing client accounts and support account growth initiatives.
Contribute to proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), client presentations, and RFP responses.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
10+ years of project and program management experience.
5+ years of experience delivering capital projects within the electric utility, energy, infrastructure, or engineering services sectors.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and client-facing relationship skills.
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in project management tools, reporting dashboards, and Microsoft Office applications.

Skills

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.

$75,000 - $165,000 CAD/year
