About the Role
IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health & biosciences, delivering sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products. This role focuses on leading engineering projects and providing support for plant trials and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects through investigation, scope, design, and implementation phases to provide safety and capacity improvements.
- Provide support to engineers in executing plant trials and production/maintenance troubleshooting.
- Comply with all company policies including Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP.
- Adhere to all quality systems including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS and NSF Dietary Supplements.
- Work safely and comply with all corporate/site EHS guidelines and policies.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of microbiological concepts and assays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
- Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- 3.0 GPA or Higher.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.
