About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
  • Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns.
  • Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
  • Ensure seasonal areas of the store are maintained.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Process all corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests.
  • Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
  • Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits/receipts).
  • Assist with loss prevention.
  • Maintain store areas, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
  • Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and ensure all store associates follow company policies.
  • Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
  • Meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
