About the Role

In CrowdStrike’s Asset Platform team, we work on large-scale distributed systems processing over 3 trillion events daily. This position is for a role in one of CrowdStrike’s Core Asset Platform teams, focusing on developing and shaping our cybersecurity platform. We are looking for individuals with passion, a focus on innovation, and a commitment to integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products.
• Leverage and build cloud-based systems in a micro-service driven environment.
• Brainstorm, define, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams.
• Champion the newest technologies and tricks with others, raising the technical IQ of the team.
• Be mentored and mentor other developers on web, backend, and data storage technologies and our system.
• Constantly re-evaluate our product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
• Act as an energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
• Use and give back to the open-source community.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Ability to scale backend systems (sharding, partitioning, horizontal scaling).
• Desire to ship code and satisfaction in seeing work run in production.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
• Deep understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.
• Team player skills and a collaborative approach.
• Thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
• Skills to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality, unit-tested software that is code-reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
