About the Role
The AVP Luxury Marketing will lead client marketing relationship management, partnering with clients and cross-functional teams to develop growth strategies, drive volume and client penetration, and measure marketing effectiveness. A strong digital channel focus is critical for reaching consumers and driving growth beyond physical store sales. This role contributes to the market/brand strategy for the Luxury Markets portfolio and the acquisition/retention of retailers into Synchrony Financial branded programs.
Responsibilities
- Assess select client needs, business goals, and opportunities.
- Create and execute a growth plan aligned with client business strategies.
- Utilize SYF consumer and competitive data analysis to develop consumer value propositions, including promotional financing, rewards programs, special discounts, and segmentation.
- Consult with clients on digital best practices to integrate financing into website strategies and digital marketing channels.
- Drive industry digital strategy and partner with digital teams to execute communication strategies (SEO, SEM, email, social media).
- Develop compelling in-store signage with clients to drive acquisition and credit penetration.
- Drive and communicate key metrics pertaining to client portfolio performance (sales, new accounts, repeat purchase percentage, consumer email enrollment, digital engagement, penetration, and return).
- Create, build, and maintain collaborative partnerships with sales, risk, finance, digital, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Manage and oversee a marketing budget and measure effectiveness.
- Utilize SYF tools to optimize marketing investments for business growth, consistent with the SYF brand.
- Manage projects through the Workfront / Cosmos (marketing project management) tool.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of marketing experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.
- Understanding of marketing metrics, including marketing ROI and profit/loss analysis.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.
- Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.
- Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.
- All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
